I am a North Carolina native, a single father, a veteran and small business owner. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University, and successfully completed the licensure requirements by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board in 2021. I have always been proud to call North Carolina home, and I represent that sentiment performing home inspections and interacting with clients across the 17 counties of northeastern NC. From 2000-2020, I served in the United States Coast Guard working in the aviation industry. During my time on active duty, I lived in several states including New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Alabama; I travelled and worked extensively across the United States, throughout the Caribbean and Central and South America, and spent several months in Spain. In 2010, I made my way back to North Carolina, serving at two of the commands in Elizabeth City prior to retiring. Between 2010-20, I volunteered and served my fellow servicemembers and in my community as the branch president and active member in the Coast Guard Enlisted Association Elizabeth City Branch (a 501(c)3 Non-Profit) and as a volunteer within by faith based congregation. From 2020-2021, I accepted a teaching position at NEAAAT, teaching students about manufacturing processes, electrical and mechanical theory, economics of business, and life lessons. I enjoyed my time; however, the teaching profession was emotionally taxing and mentally exhausting. I stepped away from teaching and focused on home inspections in the summer/fall of 2021. Guardian Real Estate Inspections LLC was incorporated in November 2021 and subsequently joined the membership of the CoC in 2022
