Mayor Hodges has worked at the federal, state, and local government levels for the past 26 years as a civilian employee, government contractor, and most recently as an elected official. He currently works for Leidos Holdings, LLC, a Fortune 500™ company providing innovative technology solutions for customers in the defense, national security, healthcare, civil engineering, and commercial markets. Mayor Hodges is a program manager responsible for leading a $17 million contract effort employing both Leidos staff and subcontractor personnel. In this role, Mr. Hodges negotiates contract agreements, develops and manages budgets and project schedules, oversees technical work, reviews and submits deliverables, and interacts with customers on a daily basis to ensure his team exceeds government requirements.

Mayor Hodges was elected as a Town Councilman in 2019 and served as the Town’s Mayor Pro Tem until his election as Mayor in 2023. In his time on the governing board, Mayor Hodges has played an active role in returning the Town to financial stability, including serving as the Interim Finance Director for two years. During his time in office, the Town has eliminated its dependence on rainy day funds and debt issuance to balance budgets, improved the financial health of its public utilities, removed the Town from the Local Government Commission’s Unit Assistance List (UAL), and secured grants to assist in projects otherwise infeasible for a small community. His experience “on both sides of the table,” as both government customer and government contractor, enabled him to engage with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
